David Domoney visits the LSG

David Domoney is a celebrity gardener designer who has worked on gardens at Hampton Court, and most recently Chelsea Flower Show 2017, exhibiting in the 'Artisan Garden category' with The 'Commonwealth War Graves Commission'. He is best known for being a presenter on Love Your Garden and for being a resident gardening expert on ITV's This Morning, David has been a long time supporter of our community garden and has been following along and sharing our progress on twitter.

When we found out David was going to be designing and creating show gardens at this year's Southport Flower Show we decided that we were going to invite him along to come and visit out garden and in exchange we would give him a slice of cake, We reached out to David and then we started the project #Cake4David on social media.

David is also the founder of Cultivation Street, A national campaign that celebrates and rewards community and school gardening projects as well as encouraging members to offer advice and guidance to each other. One of our team members Zoe is an Ambassador for Cultivation Street and achieved 2nd place in the 2016 Cultivation Street Ambassador Awards competition.

David also brought along a cameraman with him and filmed a few short interviews about the garden with Zoe and Wayne where they offered tips and advice for others who would like to start their own community group.

We would all like to say a huge thank you for David for taking time out of his busy schedule and coming to visit us, the feedback he gave us was incredible and really raised morale within our team.
